Today in Geek History

Hey Blog. I'm about to head to bed, but I thought I would post the geek history of the day before I hit the sack. Wow. Is that really the time? Anyways...

Today is March 20th and today in Geek History...

1916 Albert Einstein publishes his general theory of relativity. Is that the one where cousins in Utah can get married as long as they can't reproduce? *True Story*

1948 John de Lancie (Q from Star Trek and Frank Simmons in Stargate SG-1) is born in Philadelphia PA. He doesn't even look that old, and as annoying as Q can be, I LOVE that character.

1950 William Hurt (the AI in Artificial Intelligence, and the Hulk from...Superman *cough*), is born in Washington DC. Yay for DC

Today in Geek History

Today is November 9th and today in Geek History...
1934 Carl Sagan, the man that wrote "We are like butterflies who flutter for a day and think it's forever" is born. Apparently he's also an Astronomer too.

1951 The Incredible Hulk, Lou Ferrigno is born in Brooklyn New York. source

1965 Patent issued for "Apparatus for Facilitating the Birth of a Child by Centrifugal Force," which lets a pregnant woman be strapped to a circular table and spun to induce birth. Personally, NO THANKS.
