2012 Phenomenon

If you don't know it by now, the Mayan Sun Calendar perdicts that the end of the world is going to happen on December 21st 2012 at 11:11. Now is that GMT? Pacific? I don't know.

There are a ton of people from celeberties to even a religon based on this perdiction that are preparing for dooms day. Now, I'm a christian woman, and I think the world's in it's last leg. But honestly! If God was gonna destroy the world as we know it, He would tell someone. The Pope, the Mormon Prophet, I don't care, but someone would know.

This reminds me of a joke:
"Cardinal comes rushing to the Pope. 'Your Holiness. I have good news and bad news. The good news is Jesus is back! The day of judgement is finally here!' The Pope asks with shock, 'With glorious tidings like that, what could your bad news be?' 'He's calling from Salt Lake City!'" Hehe.

While compiling my research, I discovered a website dedicated to the end of the world as we have come to know it. December212012.com breaks down the rumors from both the Mayans, and Religion, talks about natural phenomenon like Solar Storms, and Galactic Alignment, and even the Nostradamus Effect. While it's an interesting read, I don't know if I buy it. I consider myself a collector of knowledge, culture and information so you can take it based on a purely intellectual level if you want.

What surprises me are that people in the celerity circle that I trusted actually believe this stuff too. People like Montel Williams, who I have been watching since the beginning of his shows. I have come to respect what he says and at least consider his view points. He's supposed to be writing a book on the subject too, but I have been unable to find anything about a book other than on the December 2012 website. It doesn't surprise me that Mel Gibson would believe in 2012. Honestly, he's a freak! I haven't like him since I heard a recording of him spouting that Antisemitic garbage when he was arrested a few years back. Hey Mel, you don't have to believe what they preach, but you have to be nice. Deal with it. Sorry; off topic I know.

Do you remember a few years back a movie came out called 2012? Check out the poster.

Did you know that NASA, The State Department and a few other top level orginizations have actually come out to publicly say, "No America, we are not building Arks. No, you cannot buy tickets for the arks we're not building. Stop calling us." I guess somepeople find it hard to draw the line between Hollywood and reality, but really? You had to ask? Oh no! I just spoiled it for you. Oh well. Go watch the movie; it's a good one.

Do you buy into the 2012 stuff? Do you plan to go to bed on December 20th 2012 and wake up the next day? I do. Let me know what you think.

  1. Sadly, I've been one to mix up reality and fantasy. I think I've gotten better as I've gotten older. I no longer think that I'm going to develop magical powers or will develop some kind of mutant power.

Well, I'm sure the world will last much longer than 2012. I have a theory, but it's just that, a theory.
