Today in Geek History

Hey Blog friends. What are your plans for the last week before Christmas? Did you enjoy your "Roast a Suckling Pig" Day on Sunday? It's a real day. I couldn't make that up. And also, a very happy Hanukkah to all my Jewish friends!

Today is December 20th and today in Geek History...

1838 Edwin A Abbott, Schoolmaster and theologian, the author of the mathematical satire and religious allegory Flatland is born.

1869 Charles Grapewin who protrayed Uncle Henry in The Wizard of Oz is born in Xenia Oh.

1963 Daleks first appear on Doctor Who. Exterminate? Exterminate!!

1970 Nicol de Boer, Star Trek DS9's Ezri Dax is born. I've said it before, but Jadzia was much better and leaving for the other show was a mistake.
