1880 Gideon Sundback, a Sweedish-American engineer and the inventor of the zipper, is born.

1930 Richard Donner, diretor of The Goonies, Superman, and Lethal weapon is born in New York, New York.

1964 Djimon Hounsou is born in Cotonou Benin. He was the star of Gladiator and Eragon.
