1452 Leonardo de Vinci 's birthday is today. He's an inventor, artist, and sculptor among other things.
1912 The RMS Titanic sinks in the Alantic at about 2:20 AM. Icebergs, speed, and other factors are involved in the sinking. It was only about two and a half hours after they set sail that they crashed. Over 1,517 people died.
