1965 Gamera, a Japanese Film about a Godzilla Like Turtle is released. Also in 1965 Scott Adist, Known for playing Pete Hornberger in the TV series 30 Rock is born in Northbrook Illinois.

1990 First volume of the critically acclaimed Manga Berserk published in Japan. Giant swords are now cool.
